I am Marija Gevorkjan, a storyteller, dreamer, and a self-proclaimed over-thinker who seems to have "not made up her mind" when it comes to a career path — or at least that’s how it looks from the outside. But let me tell you a secret: my path has been anything but indecisive. It’s been a whirlwind of passions, places, and people, all shaping who I am and the art I create.
about me
Music was my first love and my steadfast companion for as long as I can remember. It was the career path that led to big stages, bright lights, and countless eyes watching. But as life unfolded, I realized that the stage was just one chapter in my story.
Living in 8 countries — Sweden, Denmark, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Lithuania, Spain, the United States, and Italy — gave me a unique perspective on life. Each country was like a new lens, revealing more about the world and myself.
When you’ve lived in so many places, you start to see the world through a microscope. You realize that everything is built on people: their feelings, their actions, their values, and yes, even their traumas. It’s a kaleidoscope of humanity that’s both overwhelming and endlessly inspiring. And that’s where art stepped in for me — a safe haven for my overthinking mind, a playground for turning analysis into creation.
At first, it was songwriting — feeding the world with the fruits of my subconscious. But then I started wondering: what if the stories in my head, the visuals I imagine, could become someone else’s lens to see a situation? What if my imagination could shift perspectives, open hearts, and ignite curiosity? That’s how filmmaking entered my life: as a way to feed the world with thought-provoking imagery and emotion.
I live by one simple rule: when an idea lands in my mind, it’s my responsibility to bring it to life. If the universe trusted me with it, then it’s up to me to execute it with the strength, creativity, and experience I’ve gathered. And trust me, I’ve gathered plenty along the way.
So here I am, a mix of cultures, stories, and dreams, ready to take on whatever spark comes next. Because for me, it’s all about turning those little drops of inspiration into something tangible—something that connects us all. And if you’re curious about where this journey leads, well, so am I. Let’s find out together.
